It is almost 2026, which means that preparations are underway for another year of First Night Boston. The event is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and three years since relocating to City Hall Plaza.

From downtown to the Common, Copley Square to the waterfront — 10 destinations in all — there will be food, music, ice sculptures and other winter fun on Wednesday. Temperatures are going to be brisk, so bundle up, hop aboard the T, and make the rounds of ice sculptures, puppet shows, and live musical performances.
